Employee Performance is the measurement of Consistent Competencies

Chennai: 23rd & 24th September 2005 at GRT Convention Center, 120, Sir.Thyagaraya Road, T.Nagar.
A common set of criteria for all human resource processes has two
benefits
Ø
An
opportunity to agree a common language for describing effectiveness in an
organization
Ø
An
opportunity to achieve a higher level of consistency when assessing
performance.
Ø
A higher
accuracy when hiring people
This common criterion has resulted in a much greater involvement of
line managers in full range of activities of what was previously thought to be
the HR function. Each organization can set up its own competency
framework.
Framing a competency framework, if it is to be
relevant, needs to take into consideration changes in the organization’s
environment, the introduction of new technology and vision of the future.
Competency framework cannot be bought off a shelf and therefore it is essential
for each organization to set up their own framework to take care of their
company needs.
The Interview is the tool most often used to make a hiring decision. Often supervisors and managers trust their intuition to ask questions.
This may not help them to objectively access job related skills and abilities. To overcome this subjectivity Behavioral Interviewing is used.
Structured behavioral interviewing can dramatically increase your success of hiring the ‘best-fit’ people. Better hire means increased productivity, lower turnover, higher moral and better quality and service for customers.
The
Program
This program aims at enabling each participant through key steps in producing a competency framework, getting buy-in from key people and implementing a competency framework, which works for their organization.
This Program will also emphasize on Behavioral Event Interviewing (BEI). BEI emphasizes the fact that past performance is a predictor of future behavior and this will be the keynote during the workshop.
Along with the competency framework and BEI the selection process becomes more accurate.
The
program will provide the participants with different techniques used in BEI
process.
This programme would enable participants to assess candidates on their suitability for the job and their potential for future responsibilities.
